The Homo Sapiens fountain pen is a really unique flagship pen from Visconti.
It is large, verging on 'oversize', with a large 18c gold nib, plated with palladium to match the trim of the pen.
the 'standard' version is opaque and crafted from basaltic lava from Mount Etna on Sicily and but this Special Edition model is transparent with brilliant golden brown and orange tones to replicate the stunning sunsets over the Arizona dessert!
It has a vacuum filling mechanism built into the pen, which results in a very large ink capacity - perfect for long stretches of writing.
The cap is also unique - it has a bayonet type fitting which is also sprung. It's a very reassuring action to do before and after writing.
