Lamy Pens & Inks
We are delighted to report that Lamy are now available again on Pure Pens as one of a few select retailers online in the UK.
Lamy have been making pens in Heidelburg in Baden-Wurttemberg, South-west Germany since 1930. Josef Lamy founded the company after leaving the Parker Pen Company as a sales representative.
Lamy's most popular pen is the Safari, which has become a cult pen which has been in production since 1980. It was designed by Wolfgang Fabian and the Al-Star is the aluminium version which also sits alongside the Vista demonstrator model.
The flagship is the Lamy 2000 which has been made since 1966. It was innovative for the time as it is made from a special polycarbonate resin. It has a hooded nib and a piston filling system, meaning it can only use bottled ink.
