One of the most common questions we receive is whether a cartridge or converter from one brand will fit a pen from another. The answer depends on whether the pen uses an international standard fitting or a manufacturer-specific one. This guide covers all the major brands we stock.
Cartridge and Converter Compatibility
International standard cartridges and converters are interchangeable between brands -- so a Diamine international standard cartridge will fit a Pelikan pen, for example. Manufacturer-specific cartridges and converters will only fit pens from that same brand.
