Pure Pens

Visconti Travelling Inkwell

£35.83 GBP

The unique and very useful travelling ink well from Visconti. An eye dropper fills the inkwell with a small amount of ink and allows a piston or vacuum filler to be filled with ink on the move, easily and without mess.

The opening of the travelling inkwell has a hopper/funnel shaped rubber insert and therefore allows the nib through and a seal is made around the bottom of the pen barrel with your downward pressure on the pen. The inkwell is then turned upside down to immerse the nib in ink and the filling mechanism can be used to fill the pen effectively. The cap of the travelling inkwell has small amount of foam to soak up excessive ink. This small area in the cap can be refilled with tissue for ongoing use.

The inkwell is around the size of a large pen, such as the Visconti Homo Sapiens Oversize or Pelikan M1000 and therefore will fit in a pen case alongside your pen, as it is similar size to a large pen, it will not fit in a case designed for small, slim pens, such as the Caran d'Ache Ecridor.

Please make sure not to expell air or ink into the inkwell from the pen, i.e. do not start the vacuum or piston mechanism whilst the pen is fitted into the inkwell
