Van Dieman’s Fountain Pen Ink Diluter and Rehydrator is a multi-purpose fluid for desaturating highly saturated inks, lightening the tone of darkly coloured inks and rehydrating inks that have lost volume and thickened due to evaporation.
Why use a Diluter?
Using water alone to dilute or rehydrate inks alters the pH, surface tension and viscosity, which affects both the writing quality and flow of the ink. It can also change the hue of the ink as some inks have a specific pH for their dye. This product is custom made to have the exact same chemical and physical properties of high-quality fountain pen ink. It improves flow, prevents feathering and bleed through, maintains dye vibrancy and contains a powerful broad spectrum anti-microbial that will extend the lifespan of all fountain pen and dip pen inks.
