The nibs on Pelikan Souverän and Classic range fountain pens are interchangeable and can normally be removed simply by unscrewing. This makes it straightforward to change nib width or remove the nib for a thorough clean.
Before You Start
It is a good idea to flush and gently clean the pen of any residual ink before removing the nib. If the nib is reluctant to unscrew -- particularly on an older pen -- soak it in warm water for a few minutes to help loosen it.
Hold the nib as low down as possible when unscrewing to minimise any twisting of the nib and feed. Do not force it. If you are unsure, seek professional advice rather than risk damaging the pen.
